Local swell is pumping just in time for the 2023 SLOCAL Open from January 23-29 at the Pismo Pier! The stage is set for another epic year of this event at our iconic beach break hosted by a beloved local organization, Surfing for Hope. The sun is shining, the water is crystal blue, and athletes have been training for these qualifying series for months.
This professional surf competition will feature the best athletes in North America battling it out in a World Surf League qualifying series. For the first time ever, both the Men's and Women's divisions have been upgraded to a Qualification Series 3000, meaning triple the points and prize purse. Also added is a Boys and Girls Pro Junior Division making this year's contest a 7-day event.
