The central coast has lots of wine activities going on this month including a number of wine festivals, special winery events, and winemaker dinners.
Coming up April 10/11 is Wine 4 Paws - Visit wineries throughout SLO County to help raise funds and awareness for Woods Humane Society. Nearby wineries include, Clairborne & Churchill, Chamisal, Salisbury, Saucelito Canyon, Steven Ross Wine Cellars and Cerro Caliente.
On April 16-18 Earth Day Food & Wine Festival takes over the historic Santa Margarita Ranch with over 200 purveyors of award-winning, sustainable produced food and wine. This is a popular event that includes music and an auction while leaving only a small carbon footprint.
Also on April 17 is the Santa Barbara Vintners Festival in nearby Lompoc. Over 100 wineries will be celebrating the arrival of Spring pouring their latest wines complemented by local wine country cuisine. This is a grand party at River Park in Lompoc.
