SATURDAYS IN OCTOBER - Shell Beach Farmers Market Fresh produce, flowers, jams, dried fruits, artisan vinegars, exotic foods, jewelry, massage, hula hoop and yoga classes, kite flying, food demos, gymnastics and live music/entertainment. Saturdays, 9am – 1pm at Dinosaur Caves Park.  (800) 443-7778

OCTOBER 11th - City to Sea Half Marathon & 5K - The half marathon is a point to point event that starts in quaint downtown San Luis Obispo and heads south, continuing on beautiful country roads to picturesque Shell Beach Road and ending with a stunning ocean view. The race finishes in Pismo Beach at Dinosaur Caves Park. The 5K Health Walk is an out and back paved course starting at Dinosaur Caves. OCTOBER 17th & 18th - 63rd Annual Clam Festival

Join the fun in downtown Pismo Beach at this Classic California event. A parade on Saturday morning kicks off this annual event, followed by a carnival, clam dig, music and food, including the famous Clam Chowder Cook-off. (800) 443-7778

OCTOBER 23rd -25th - Jubilee By The Sea Jazz Festival This traditional Dixieland Jazz Festival offers a weekend of music, dancing, as well as 20 bands from the U.S. and Canada. www.pismojazz.com

OCTOBER 31st- Pumpkins on the Pier - Start your Halloween at the Pismo Pier with Pumpkins on the Pier from 10am – 1pm. The annual event features pumpkin decorating, a climbing wall, bounce house, a balloon typhoon, face painting, carnival games, DARE, Fire Truck, pumpkin decorating contest, costume contest and more!  Visit local downtown businesses for the Trick or Treat Extravaganza from 12pm – 2pm.
