Hi Friends,

When visiting Pismo Beach, I’m never hard pressed to find a fellow canine companion. Between the beaches, parks, and hikes, it’s easy to meet a playmate when out and about.

However, I love making friends of all kinds, and since my owners know how friendly I am with all creatures, they decided to take me to the California Western Monarch Day Celebration at the Pismo State Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove!

The event, which took place on February 14th from 10 am to 4pm, was so much fun! There were cool butterfly talks for my owners as well as educational booths and art activities for the kids there too! But the best part, of course, were the thousands of new friends I made! There were so many beautiful monarch butterflies fluttering from tree to tree, making their way through the eucalyptus and pine trees in the grove. I couldn’t help but jump around trying to play with them all—those little guys were so vibrant!

We had so much fun at the California Western Monarch Day Celebration that my owners even said that we can come back throughout the entire month of February and visit the grove until the butterflies leave in March!

I hope you guys get the chance to visit the Monarch Grove and play with all of my new friends!
