The Monarch Grove in Pismo Beach has completed another successful season, with over 60,000 visitors enjoying the winged beauties clustering in the trees and flying around flaunting their vivid orange and black colors.
This year, in addition to assisting our many visitors, the docents and volunteers at our grove planted a new garden with oak trees and various plants that provide dew to hydrate the butterflies. The docents also deliver informational talks to schools and other organizations.
We are grateful to Mother Nature for guiding these fantastic beauties to our grove each November, but we are also very thankful to all of those wonderful and dedicated docents and volunteers that make our Monarch Grove extra special.
See you next year!
