promenadeWalk This Way – The recently completed Promenade IV and Plaza near the historic Pismo Beach Pier give visitors a beautiful place to stroll and enjoy the gorgeous views of the Pacific. The $1.9-million project added an additional one-quarter mile of wooden boardwalk to the approximately two-mile wooden boardwalk from Addie Street to Main Street. This boardwalk connects to a much larger trail system that allows pedestrians to walk from the Grover Beach Grand Avenue parking lot to the Pismo Beach Pier. In addition, beautiful pavers, new sand showers, fencing, lighting and beach access stairways were installed, adding to the ambience of this classic California beach town. Of the $1.9- million construction cost, $1.1 million came from the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
