Hello, friends! Goldie, here, to share some great information when you and your pet parents are traveling to Pismo State Beach and Oceano Dunes SVRA. Dogs are allowed in campgrounds, trails, and on the beach, but you must be leashed and under control. We dogs are NOT PERMITTED in the Oso Flaco Lake area or Pismo Dunes Natural Preserve. Remember, California State Parks protect and preserve sensitive structures and habitats, as well as threatened plants and animals, in addition to ancient Native American sites. Most importantly: PLAN AHEAD by visiting the Dogs at Parks website.

Now, for the fun part: Have your pet parents take the B.A.R.K. pledge and purchase a cool Bark Ranger dog tag for you! B.A.R.K. stands for Bag your Pet’s Waste, Always Leash your Pet, Respect Wildlife, and Know where you can Go! Purchase your very own B.A.R.K. tag at the Central Coast State Parks Association online store.

Take the pledge, order your tag, and get outside with your family and enjoy our beautiful parks! Remember to send your photos and tag them with #PismoBARKRanger on the California Department of Parks and Recreation social media accounts as well as #experiencepismobeach and #pismobeachca. I hope to see you out enjoying our unique beauty soon!  Best Regards, Goldie
